Just a few weeks ago over conversation with friends, I was lamenting the fact that I've yet to shoot a snowy wedding. My wish came true when Sarah + Paul's glorious spring wedding came with a minor April snow.
Sarah + Paul met in school at the Colorado School of Mines. They're now both engineers working within their respective fields, but in school they were part of the same large group of friends and would hang out often. Although they didn't date at all during their time in school, Sarah did admit to having a small crush on Paul. They call their first date a "friend" date that turned into so much more.
I set off to a family home in southwest Littleton that backs directly up to Deer Creek Canyon. The clouds were hanging low and everything was covered in a layer of white fluff. It was a surprisingly low-key morning with the ladies. I'm used to walking into a storm of chaos, shoes, glitter and giggles, but these girls were just sipping coffee, doing their makeup and enjoying the canine and human company. Following the quiet morning was a daytime ceremony and reception hosted at the Pines at Genesee. This being my first time shooting this venue — with two more to follow this season — I was absolutely blown away by the facilities, the views and the amazing staff. Let's also not forget about the unbelievable brunch spread, heartfelt toasts, and loads of dancing.
